Now, owners of these European vintage models can install the EV conversion at one of R-Fit’s garages, giving their cars a new lease on life. The retrofit kit has a battery pack, electric motor, and an onboard charging. The kit for the Renault 4 is available now for 11,900 euros ($12,800). The kits for both the Renault 5 and first-generation Twingo will be available at a later date. In addition to adding an all-electric powertrain to these vintage cars, the retrofit kit includes several features that improve safety and comfort, such as automatic headlights, rear parking sensors, and heated seats. It also adds modern comforts such as Bluetooth connectivity and USB ports to stay connected while on the road.
